Yei County forms committee to draft MOU

Yei River County authorities set a 15-member committee to draft policies before signing a memorandum of understanding for the management of Yei Electric Cooperative or YECO.
 
The committee comprises of five members from the YECO, five from the legislative council and five members from the executive council, Easter Radio reported.
 
The County Commissioner Juma David Augustine said the committee will draft a document as road map to guide relationship between YECO and County authority.
 
He said the committee was tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that Yei County does not lose the electric power asset. 
 
YECO’s chairman Samuel Taban Kilombe said the memorandum will specify roles on management of the utility and attract government’s support for sustainability. 
 
The document would be endorsed after implementation modalitiescompletion .
