Eastern Equatoria government nominated 25 civil servants to benefit from several courses Indian government offered to South Sudan.
State Minister for Public Service, Labour and Human Resource Development, Stella Brenda Lorika told the press that the scholarships were part of Indian special commonwealth assistance for Africa, Emmanuel Radio reported.
She noted that the opportunities were offered to the state employees and were equitably distributed with two civil servants from each ministry.
Ms Lorika said five scholarships were offered to the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Human Resource Development without giving reasons.
Eastern Equatoria state civil service nominees for trainings failed to benefit from last year’s Indian scholarships.
The state blamed Juba and Indian Embassy for not explaining the scholarships processes.
