JICA trains Upper Nile personnel on infrastructure development

Japan International Cooperation Agency or JICA on Tuesday concluded the training of ten Upper Nile State government staff in computer-aided design, planning and implementation of infrastructure development.
 
In a statement issued on Thursday, JICA said the training was to increase technical capacity and skills of staff as part of comprehensive planning and support for urgent development in Malakal Town. 
 
The project aimed at supporting the state to implement urgent projects and develop human resource capacity to promote socio-economic development.
 
The trainees started another training on Geographic Information System on Wednesday.
 
JICA earlier sponsored English documentation skills course and information technology course since June 17 and provided several computers.
