Torit Apostolic administrator returns from Khartoum

Torit Catholic Diocese Apostolic Administrator on Monday returned from Khartoum, Sudan after participating in the plenary of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference.
 
Monsignor Thomas Oliha told Emmanuel Radio that the conferences resolved to open Philosophy section of the national Major Seminary in July next year.
 
The Apostolic Administrator said the Year of Faith was another main subject discussed in the plenary.
 
Monsignor Oliha said the bishops also discussed how to celebrate the end of the Year of Faith.
 
He called on Christians to visit Holy places during the Year of Faith.
 
The Apostolic Administrator urged Christians to consider Blessed Virgin Mary as the icon of faith.
 
Monsignor Oliha said ‘Mercy House’ in Torit town is a sacred place that Christians can visit to offer special prayers to the Blessed Mother Virgin Mary.
