South Sudan war veteran and an advisor in the Defence ministry on Sunday expressed happiness on seeing new faces and positive changes in the cabinet.
Augustino Ali Luwaya said people are now relieved after long suffering due to rampant insecurity, armed robbery and killing, Easter Radio reported.
He said there were still threats from the Sudanese government despite cooperation agreements due to no commitment for the peace.
Veteran Luwaya urged people to pray and work hard for Yei to become a state.
The veteran called on Yei citizens to cooperate with all levels of government sent to work with them in the county.
The war veteran was talking on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
