Tombura-Yambio Catholic Bishop arrived home safely after participating in the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference in Khartoum, Sudan and an official trip to Nairobi, Kenya.
Edward Hiiboro Kussala told Anisa Radio that he was happy to participate in the conference and they discussed issues concerning the church in the two countries after South Sudan independence.
Bishop Hiiboro said that they agreed to have two deputy secretaries one in Khartoum and another in Juba.
He added that they resolved to reopen St Paul’s National Major Seminary’s Philosophy section in Juba.
Bishop Hiiboro brought from Nairobi two Good Shepherd’s congregation sisters and three Nursing professors to assess ways of coordinating programs with the Catholic Church of Kenya and South Sudan.
