Yei River County and its partner GIZ on Thursday signed the first water and sanitation services delivery memorandum.
County Water and Sanitation Assistant Commissioner Juma Hassan appealed to GIZ to invest more money in Yei Payams and Bomas, Easter Radio reported.
He urged GIZ to improve its relations with Water and Sanitation department to improve standards of people at grassroots.
GIZ representative Anke Penine said the signing of the agreement was an opportunity to commend all groups involved in the development of the document in the last six months.
She said the document ensures the provision of improved water and sanitation in the County.
Ms Anke added that the memorandumt was a comprehensive document that laid out responsibilities and duties of the county councilors.
She mentioned that the project will work until 2016.
The document was signed at the County Commissioner’s office.
