Western Bahr El Ghazal state ministry of Youth, Sport and Social Development revealed plans to sponsor sports’ activities and build youth centres.
Former Minister of Youth and Sport Arkangelo Anyar Anyar said they signed contracts with a local investor to build Wau Youth Centres to generate revenues, Voice of Hope reported.
He said the ministry intended to build shops and commercial places around Wau Stadium.
Mr Anyar explained that investment benefits will enable the ministry organize local leagues and tournaments without the state government support.
Last month the ministry met hotel owners and the hotel owners agreed to sponsor sport activities monthly.
