The president of PETRONAS, a Petroleum Operation Company committed to long term investment in oil exploration and capacity building in the country.
Datur Anuar Theib told the press on Thursday that they were prepared to explore more oil deposits in the country and train South Sudanese for operations in the oil sector.
He revealed that PETRONAS offered over 60 scholarships for South Sudanese to study in Malaysia.
Petroleum Minister Stephen Dhieu Dau confirmed that they agreed to work together with PETRONAS to build the capacity of South Sudanese in the oil operation sector.
He commended PETRONAS’s sponsorship of 120 South Sudanese youths.
