Heavy rains filled Kineti River banks and washed away Imillai Bridge last week cutting off residents from accessing markets.
Alberio Tobiolo Oromo, an area Member of Parliament said for two days people could not engage in economic activities.
He explained that pupils missed classes and patients could not access medical services.
Mr Tobiolo said youths rescued the situation by cutting some trees to make a temporary bridge for the community to continue their daily businesses.
He said the state government was aware of the matter and plans to fix the Bridge.
Mr Tobiolo said austerity measures interrupted a bill of quantity of 200 thousand South Sudanes Pounds compiled to construct Imilai Bridge across Kineti River.
