Sudan People Liberation Movement for Democratic Change or SPLM-DC chairperson in Western Bahr El Ghazal defected to United Democratic Salvation Front-Mainstream or UDSF-M.
Abdu Musa confirmed he resigned last month due to lack of coordination between SPLM-DC and its state secretariats, Voice of Hope reported.
He accused the SPLM-DC of only concentrating its activities in Upper Nile neglecting other states.
Mr Musa also accused his former party chairman of tribalism and managing party affairs from abroad.
He refuted SPLM-DC claims that he dropped his resignation saying his decision to resign was final and promised to work with the new party.
SPLM-DC chairpersons in Warrap and Jonglei States also defected to UDSF-M party.
