Eastern Equatoria Acting Information Minister refuted claims that SPLM party was death in the state.
Clement Chichim Loku was reacting to Edi Mute’s statement on August 19 to South Sudan Television that SPLM party is dead in Eastern Equatoria state, Emmanuel Radio reported.
The minister said Mute cannot term SPLM as a death party because it succeeded to take towns to people and realized good governance, peace and security, service delivery and many others.
Mr Chichim described Mutes’ statement as malicious and intended to tarnish SPLM’s image.
The minister said the party strongly condemned the statement describing it as irresponsible, cheap and propaganda against the party.
Mr Mute could not be reached for comments.
