Missionary Aviation Fellowship or MAF suspended its flights to Yambio until all the operation requirements are provided to the Western Equatoria government.

MAF Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese representative Ignatius Mborihenga told Anisa Radio that on Tuesday the government summoned the pilot and the agent over operation certificates.

He said MAF agent was also asked about their agreement with the national government to carry out domestic and international flights.

Fr Ignatius said without documents MAF will not operate flights to Yambio until further notice.

He called on people to wait patiently because the government was carrying out its duties.

Fr Ignatius  advised people that MAF is preparing documents needed by the national security to start its operations.

MAF was one of the flights operating in remote areas of Yambio, Ibba, Maridi, Mundri, Kajo-Keji and other parts of South Sudan for nearly ten years.
