Yei River County in Central Equatoria state promised to continue operating with joint forces of Police, Wildlife, Prison Service, Fire Brigade and Military Police to maintain security.
Commissioner Juma David Augustine said their security meeting on Thursday resolved establishment of joint operations because the police force alone cannot curb crimes, Easter Radio reported.
Mr Juma said the joint operations were meant to end security threats and create peace in the county.
He explained that one of the objectives would be to protect the business community and investors.
Mr Juma accused the national government police of unprofessionalism and involvement in crimes.
