Around 90 thousand people hiding in the bush due to fear are blocked from getting assistance in Pibor County of Jonglei state.
Médecins Sans Frontières or MSF in a statement said floods resulting from heavy rains also blocked some 28 thousand people from receiving assistance they need.
MSF Emergency Coordinator in Pibor County Carolina Lopez said as rains intensify, living conditions become more precarious and the situation remains critical.
She said MSF will expand its efforts by increasing health promotion activities to locate the missing 90 thousand people to assess their condition and address their most urgent needs.
She urged all humanitarian organisations active in Jonglei State to increase their efforts to provide aid to the 28 thousand people around Gumuruk.
MSF surgeon in Gumuruk Martial Ledecq said ‘we have treated almost 200 children and women with badly infected wounds, but only one man has come to us for surgery on a bullet wound.’
He said patients who come to the clinic reported that some people are frightened of coming to seek assistance in places with military presence.
