Yei River County Community Development Assistant Commissioner called for support to community-based organisations or CBOs to strengthen their activities in rural areas.
Julious Lokolong said CBOs play a great role in development within their resources by providing economic viability and employing youths, Easter Radio reported.
He explained that there are more than 60 CBOs providing services to citizens through agriculture and other activities.
Mr Julius requested the Government to put CBOs top priority to realize national development.
He appealed to international non-government organisations to uplift CBOs in order to develop rural communities.
