Sudanese Government continues with its ground and aerial attacks in Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile states against citizens.

The second report of the Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Agency or SRRA issued over the weekend said over one million Sudanese citizens are living in fear, without shelter, food and clean water.

It explained that indiscriminate aerial bombardment against civilians, their villages and farms have atrocious effects on Sudanese population lives.

The report said Sudanese forces conducted 284 air strikes between January and June displacing half a million people internally with 200 thousand sought refuges in the neighbouring countries.

The report said the Government continues to block access to humanitarian agencies on the ground after it refused to sign cessation of hostilities.

SRRA Director Philip Neroun said, ‘there is a huge humanitarian crisis looming in the two areas that requires immediate attention and response by national and international humanitarian actors to alleviate this appalling situation.’
