Ibba County in Western Equatoria planned to open a girls’ boarding school.

Board of trustees’ chairperson John Beington said the school will open next February and first year will have 40 girls in primary three, Anisa Radio reported.

He said the school was structured into eight stages over eight years so that by 2020 it will accommodate 320 girls from primary three to senior four.

Professor Beington said the school would be built with the help of friends in UK.

State Education Minister Pia Philip Michael said the government will help the board to provide a high quality education and ensure that Ischool becomes a model primary school in the whole country.

Ibba County Commissioner Brigitte Nagomoro who initiated the project said her vision was to increase the number of educated women in Western Equatoria State.
