Stakeholders for the Sudan infrastructure services projects met today for a one-day workshop with the aim of formalizing a 2010 work plan.
The stakeholders include GoSS and sate ministries of Roads and Transport, USAID and Louis Berger Group.
Edward Flint, Louis Berger’s manager, told participants that the workshop links the stakeholders so that they can work and focus on training contractors and the authorities that manage road works.
Mr. Flint added that the workshop also aimed at bringing the stakeholders together to come up with a work plan of next year.
Jacob Marial Maker, Director General of GoSS Ministry of Roads and Transport said the ministry still lacks professionals.
He asked stakeholders to build capacities of the available personnel in the ministry.
