WBG Standard Bureau alerts consumers about expired goods

The National Bureau of Standard in Western Bahr El Ghazal alerted consumers to be careful of expired commodities being sold in the markets.
 
Bureau Director Kuol Deng Majak advised consumers to be critical on buying goods in the market to avoid risk of expired commodities, Voice of Hope reported.
 
Mr Deng advised consumers to be very careful and check expiry date when buying goods in the market.
 
He called on citizens to cooperate with the Bureau so that traders selling expired goods are sued to court.
 
Mr Deng revealed that his office last week confiscated and destroyed 185 bags of nutritious floor infected by insects and expired. 
 
He said they formed a technical committee of inspectors, police and national security to crack down sellers of expired goods in the state.
 
The director was responding to complains raised by consumers over expired goods being sold in markets.
