New schools in Rashad and Abbassiya localities of Nuba Mountains lack scholastic materials.
Education Training Director Magbul Kheir-Elseed told Voice of Peace Radio on Wednesday that there were no teaching materials and proper stores for keeping books.
He said education ministry tried last year to fill the stores but still the books proved not enough.
Mr Kheir-Elseed added that the ministry will request some NGOs next year to help them with textbooks.
Schools in the Nuba Mountains region of South Kordofan are operating in miserable conditions since the war broke out in 2011.
