President forms cabinet

The President of the Republic on Wednesday issued Republican decree appointing 18 ministers and ten deputies.
 
Salva Kiir Mayardit’s decree did not appoint the vice-president.
 
He appointed Martin Elia Lomuro Cabinet Affairs minister, Kuol Manyang Juuk Defense minister, Aggrey Tisa Sabuni Finance minister assisted by Kengen Jakor and Telar Ring Deng to Justice deputized by Paulino Wanawila.
 
The Minister for the Office of President is still to be appointed.
 
President Kiir appointed Obuto Mamur Mete minister for National Security Service in the Office of the President, Aleu Ayueny Aleu for Interior assisted by Jadala Augustino and Kuong Danhier Gatluak to Labour and Public Service.
 
The President appointed Michael Makuei Lueth Information and Telecommunication minister, Riek Gai Kok Health minister, Beda Machar Deng elevated to be Agriculture, Forestry minister deputized by Nadia A. Dudi.
 
He appointed a new face John Gai Yoh to Education, Science and Technology ministry assisted by Bol Makueng, while Jemma Nunu Kumba remains in her place and her deputy is Deng Arop Kuol, Abdallah Deng Nhial appointed to Electricity, Dams, Irrigation and Water Resources.
 
Another new face is Simon Majok appointed minister for Transport, Roads and Bridges deputized by Martin Chako, Petroleum Ministry also remains untouched, Ngor Kulang Ngor becomes Culture, Youth and Sports minister and Awut Deng Acuil appointed to head Gender, Child and Social Development ministry.
 
Other ministries have two duputies while some do not have a single deputy.
