More than 100 teachers of Western Bahr El Ghazal came together on Tuesday to form a state teachers’ union executive body.
The Union elected Mr James Akille chairman deputized by Isaac Arkangelo and elected Mr Mark Akech its General-Secretary, Voice of Hope reported.
The Union aimed to help handle issues affecting teachers’ welfare in the state and assist in resolving matters affecting the teaching profession.
The elected executive body will represent the state in the general teachers’ congress in Juba for the ten states.
