National Security Minister in the Office of the President decried the alarming security situation in the country.
Oyay Deng Ajak said more than 100 people are dying in every state in South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said the rampant killing of innocent people in inter-tribal conflicts and cattle rustling indicate that there is no peace in the country.
Mr Deng recalled that during the liberation struggle SPLM leaders promised to use the oil money to fuel agriculture but until now nothing materialized.
The minister said the government should not only pronounce plans but implement them.
He explained that for so many years South Sudanese were blaming the government in Khartoum and that South Sudanese are now throwing the same blame to authorities in Juba.
Mr Deng said small tribes have to be respected for peace to flourish in the country.
He urged the national security to play a big role in building peace.
Mr Deng called on the SPLA, police and the national security to cement their relationships with citizens.
