Upper Nile Finance Minister told the press on Friday that June salaries are delayed due to lack of funds.
Phillip Gwine Chan said the national government passed some policies to supplement the state monthly budget by five percent, Voice of Love reported.
He said weather conditions hindered the state from collecting enough revenues to top on the national budget since most of the roads were blocked.
Mr Gwine said the ministry was going to pay its work force in the coming days.
He appealed to the workers to remain calm as the Ministry will resolve the issue.
Upper Nile State Information Minister Phillip Jiben Ugal appreciated the Finance minister’s good message.
