Central Equatoria State Council of Ministers told the Agriculture and Forestry minister to collect revenues on forest resources.
State Government spokesperson Jacob Aligo Lo Lodu told the press after the council’s Thursday meeting that the ministry has to enforce the State Constitution for collecting revenues. He said there was need for the state government to be responsible of collecting taxes to support the Agriculture and Forestry ministry to carry out forestation projects.
Mr Aligo said last year the national Agriculture ministry issued a ministerial order taking all the responsibilities for forest exploitation.
