American, UK and Norwegian diplomats urged the national and state governments to take immediate action to investigate crimes against civilians in Jonglei and bring perpetrators to justice.

American Ambassador to South Sudan Suzan Page told the press on Friday in Juba that the international community is prepared to support the investigation process.

She said the international community wanted to hear that the government took concrete steps to investigate crimes in Jonglei.
United Kingdom Charge d’Affaires Jon Dean called on the national and state governments, civil society and religious leaders to reach out to all communities in the state.
He called on all the parties in Jonglei to come together with long term solutions for the problems.
Mr Dean said the Troika invites all stakeholders to return to agreed resolution of Jonglei peace conference and its commitment to peace, reconciliation and tolerance.
He said the Troika stood ready to support humanitarian assistance and increase development and security in Jonglei state.
Norwegian Ambassador to South Sudan Hanne-Marie Kaarstad urged all parties to ensure the protection of civilians and allow access to medical care.
She asked all parties to enable humanitarian space in Jonglei including safe corridors for humanitarian workers.
The Troika envoys visited Jonglei State on Thursday.
They described the situation of civilians as bad saying civilians are suffering.
