Some lecturers and teaching assistants at the University of Juba are withholding the results of the last semester’s exams until they are paid salaries for the last two months.

Sources from the University told CRN that the teaching staffs, including part timers, were threatening not to submit their results to the administration until they were paid.

The office of Deputy Academic Affairs Secretary refused to comment on record saying the issue was internal and not to be discussed with the media.

Professor Wani Sule, the University Principal, told CRN that he had no information about the incidents.

He asked the journalist to talk to the deans of the different colleges to check the information.

The university should start the new semester in May and the delay in the release of results may affect the academic calendar.
