The UN Secretary-General said on Friday that he was encouraged by the positive dialogue between presidents Salva Kiir and Omar al-Bashir.
Ban Ki-moon’s spokesperson said the Secretary-General was encouraged by their constructive discussions on the implementation of the agreements the two presidents signed in Addis Ababa on 27 September, 2012.He urged President Kiir and President Bashir to maintain this positive momentum
Mr Ban commended both Presidents for their decision to continue efforts to resolve the Abyei issue in accordance with the implementation matrix.
He urged them to resolve their differences regarding the area’s final settlement.
