CES GOVERNMENT DONATES 20,000 POUNDS TO YEI FIRE VICTIM

Central Equatoria government donated 20,000 pounds to support one of the victims affected by a tragic fire that burned many houses in Yei last December.

Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine told journalists after a meeting with Central Equatoria Deputy Governor Manasseh Lomole Waya that the state government decided to aid Colonel Lual Manyan to build a new house.

He thanked the Government for contributing 20,000 pounds, Juba Mayor for giving 10,000 pounds plus 1,000 pounds to the construction.

Col Manyan was among the people who lost their houses to the flames.

Mr Juma repeated his appeal to aid agencies and NGOs to support the other families who were greatly affected by Yei’s tragic fire.

Dozens of families lost houses and belongings to the fire that destroyed a number of houses in Yei last December.
