The administration of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba has on Friday met all Parish priests to report on the developmental progress in their various jurisdictions.

Known as “SYNOD” the meeting focuses on the performances of every Parish in as far as spiritual or physical growth is concerned.

The Pastoral Coordinator who doubles as the Director of Palica Centre Juba, Fr. Clement Tombe Massimino said the meeting is to update the Cardinal who will later inform the Pope about events happening in the catholic church in South Sudan and Sudan.

Fr. Tombe said the purpose of the SYNOD is to embrace the spirit of working together and communal participation in reaching out to the grassroots parishioners.

According to Fr. Tombe, The SYNOD looks forward to hearing the different challenges faced by Christians and parishes through the Parish priest.

The Pastoral Coordinator said Catholic Church leaders from different groups in the parishes will also be engaged to hear their side of the stories.
