Hundreds of people receive the sacrament of baptism in Kapara Chapel

More than one hundred Catholic Catholic Church members received the sacrament of baptism in Kapara Chapel at Tonj Sacred Heart Parish.

Nine others were also baptized including children and elderly people ranging from 60-80 years old.

Hundreds of Christians coming from sub-areas of Kapara occupied the church on Sunday to witness the joyful event.

The celebration also marks the starting gesture of the feast of Saint of Don Bosco which will be celebrated on the 31st of this month.

Preaching to the faithful, Tonj Sacred Heart Parish Priest, Father Joseph Hung told the parents to teach their children good manners to prepare them to become future leaders because the good raising of children determines the uprightness of their destiny

Fathers discourage bearing children whom nobody teaches moral and good behaviors and who in the end become thieves and drunkards in society.

Catholic Sister Sarah from Saint Bakhita urged young girls and men to express desires for priesthood and sisterhood despite being poor

Sister Sarah says that everyone in this world can choose a religious life irrespective of where they come from.

The Payam Administrator Santino Utho thanked the Don Bosco Missionaries for bringing people closer to God.
He urged the faithful to continue instilling more gospel programs in the citizens of his area

Santino encouraged government officials to come to church to boost a solid connection between the government and the Church in shaping people to become good ambassadors of peace.
