The family of a 12-year-old boy has reported that they recovered their son after being kidnapped and later escaped from the suspected kidnappers in Wau Western Bahr El Ghazal State.

According to the escaped boy’s mother, Koleta Luis the child disappeared around 2 pm after visiting the hospital and was driven by a tinted car.

She narrated that two people came out the ordered the boy to stop and the child ran while the other one behind him managed to catch the boy and they took him into unknown locations.

Koleta Luis mentions that the boy discloses that as he was taken to the unknown location he was pushed into a room where he found some children inside the room.

She further said her son managed to escape together with another he found in the detention place where kidnappers keep young people hostages.

Luis adds that her boy after he escaped from the hands of kidnappers ran to a certain Market in Bahr El Sherqi that is Eastern Bank and called the family to tell them about his kidnapping.

The Mother mentions that the family with the help of the Boda Boda boys rushed to the market of Bahr El Sherqi and found the boy.

She discloses that her son is not tortured nor did the kidnappers try to harm him. However, the kidnapped boy discloses that he has seen many other kids in the room where was pushed.

The Municipal Council authorities have promised to intervene and investigate the matter of kidnapping which is believed to be a new emergence.
