Kiir and Hamdok discuss Sudan stability at COP28 Submit

President Kiir and Sudan's Former Premier Abdalla Hamdok met to find possibilities for finding a peaceful settlement to the current crisis in Sudan.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit and Sudan’s former Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok on Friday, November 8th met in a side meeting in the United Arab Emirates to discuss peace and stability in Sudan.

The Minister of Presidential Affairs Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro confirmed that President Kiir and Sudan’s Former Premier Abdalla Hamdok met to find possibilities for finding a peaceful settlement to the current crisis in Sudan.

President Kiir traveled to Dubai last week 30th November to attend the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC).

According to media reports from Kiir’s office, The Summit which is said to have drawn together over 180 world leaders from around the world to exchange ideas and formulate strategies to tackle climate change is expected to end Next week on Tuesday 12th December 2023.
