The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Malakal, Doctor Stephen Nyodho Ador, said that all members of society must bear responsibility for peace to create a peaceful society.

“There is nothing impossible, we can return the social fabric to its previous state if there is a will to work for peace in society, especially within Upper Nile community.”

He added that we believers have faith in that there is nothing difficult with God, and as so the state of Upper Nile will rise and grow, thanks to its sons and daughters.

The Catholic Bishop called for forgiveness and reconciliation and work for real peace among communities

He urged priests and missionaries in various Christian denominations responsible for reforming society to preaching word of God.

This came during the celebration of the Upper Nile Peace Day, which was organised by the Ministry of Peace Building in cooperation with national and international partners at Malakal Stadium. All ethnic communities in Upper Nile State were invited to attend the event.
