South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit is set to host another round of meeting with the Sudanese political leaders in Juba next week.

President Kiir is the peace negotiator between the Sudanese Armed Forces leader General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (“Hemedti”) in the Juba peace agreement.

Presidential press unit reported that Kiir appealed to the military and political leaders in Sudan to end the ongoing conflict through peaceful dialogue.

However, the Presidential Advisor on National Security Affairs Tut Gatluak Manime says the meeting will review the Juba Peace Agreement, while forging a common understanding of resolving the current crisis.

Kiir’s office also reported that the Deputy Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council Malik Agar Eyre briefed the President on the latest developments in Sudan on Monday this week ahead of the expected talks next week though the date is not clearly indicated.

The Sudanese Ambassador Jamal Malik thanked President Kiir for his continuous search for peace and stability in Sudan.
