A Traffic police officer in Yei River County warned Boda-Boda riders from carrying more than six passengers in one motorcycle to avoid accident

Mary Ataku, a traffic officer working in Yei River County police headquarters says boda-boda riders overload one motorcycle with many passengers especially the school children which is not a good act.

“I would like to sound this warning to the boda-boda riders who carry five to six passengers in one motorcycle that, from today onward, I don’t want to see this kind of overloading,” Mary warned.

The officer further stated that, many of the motorists ride when they are drunk and always overspeed in the town causing accidents.

She says if any motorist is found overloading with many passengers will be fined for disobidence of the traffic rules.

According the Officer, boda-boda rider who carries many children on one bike is putting the lives of the children at risk.

She urged parents to take care of their children from the boda-boda riders from carrying many children to avoid accident
