The Director of Police Emergency in Wau, Peter Manyang says they have arrested five people in connection with the cases of stealing and looting in Wau town.
According to him, they will hand over the culprits to the police for more investigation to face trials.
“These people have been accused of stealing and we willl hand them over to the police for investigations,” he stated.
Manyang advises the young people not to involve themselves in criminal activities in order to avert the consequences.
The Director said they are going to call the parents and relatives of the youth arrested for the alleged involvement in committing crimes.
He added that, “We call on the parents and guidance to come to police custody and bail their children.”
In his part, the Mayor of Wau Municipality, Paulino saeid Uku ordered the police to take measures for whoever was arrested by 112.
He says those who are under age deserve to be in custody for protection as a juvenile.
Saad Uku however expressed his worries about impersonation by some people who always go to the custody to claim the release of the Juveniles.
According to Uku, some people always claim that they are the relatives by giving false evidence to police, in order to release the criminals.
Uku appeals to the relatives and parents to teach their children with good morals and behaviors in order to grow up with a spirit of productivity for the development of the country.
The Mayor also asks youth to forget about stealing and focus on obeying God’s commandment that prohibits stealing.
