Bishop Bernado arrives Nimule for Priestly Silver Jubilee

The Catholic Bishop of Torit is in Nimule to preside over a mass this Saturday at St. Francis Parish as they celebrate the six priests who made 25 years in priesthood at the Diocese.

The six priests who made 25 years in the priestly life include; Fr. Jimmy Aventore, Fr. John Opi, Fr. Gabiel Asida, Fr. Martin Vuni, Fr. Sisto Ojja, and Fr. Lucius Izama all of whom were Ordained in the year 1997.

The Priestly Silver Jubilee was celebrated under the theme; “I will be with you until the end of the time.”

The parishioners of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Nimule have welcomed the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit His Lordship Emmanuel Bernardino Lowi to the Parish.

In jubilation, the parishioners marched from Mount Gordon to St. Francis of Assisi Parish compound as they sang and ululated while expressing their happiness over the visit.

After a short wait, Bishop Emmanuel accompanied by a number of priests and the laity arrived at Nimule.

After a short reception speech by Father Lazarous Oliha, parishioners then matched from Mount Gordon to the Parish compound as they dance and sing songs of joy and welcoming to Bishop Emmanuel.

Mister Koma Mark Dominic is one of the parishioners and a youth at Saint Francis of Assisi.

 He hopes the visit of the Bishop to the Parish will bring blessings to the members especially, the young people.

Laker Betty and Rebecca Mania are amongst the Legion of Mary Women at Saint Francis of Assisi.

Both Laker and Rebecca equally expressed their joy for the visit of the Bishop to the Parish.

 Bishop Emmanuel congratulated the parishioners for the welcoming gesture and he prayed for God’s blessing amongst his people.
