The Catholic Bishop of Wau Diocese has urged the Reconstituted Government of National Unity to double their efforts to implement the revitalized peace agreement fully in order to realise peace in South Sudan.
Bishop Matthew Remijio Adam acknowledged the government’s effort to implement the agreement however he recommends that the government double its effort toward peace for all.
Remijio Adam pointed out that South Sudan is still not fully at peace because other areas in the country still report cases of killing, rapping and unrest despite the fact that major towns in the country are enjoying calm as the fruit of peace agreement.
“We are not in complete peace, we are hearing killing and rapping around. We cannot pretend to say that we in Juba or in Wau are at peace while there is unrest in other areas” the bishop narrates.
