The Catholic Diocese of Torit has ordained Reverend Deacon Andrew Agobia into the priesthood on Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
The ordination of the new clergy was presided over by Bishop Emmanuel Bernandhino Lowi of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
Speaking during the mass, the bishop advises the newly ordained priest to be fruitful in his work as the Lord commands.
Bishop Lowi highlighted that the ministry of God is not for riches but for the love of God because God wants to be represented everywhere.
“And I commission you to bear fruits, that would last. God wants to be represented everywhere that he pleases,” Bishop Emmanuel stated.
The ordination of Andrew Agobia to a priest is an important occasion since it ushers in a new chapter in the life of the newly ordained priest.
In June this year, the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek also ordained three Deacons to Priesthood, an occasion graced by Bishop Christian Carleasare
