The Executive Director of the Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO says politicians and stakeholders should make development in the states a priority.

Edmond Yakani questions the politicians about releasing the budget for the development only once there is a senior figure coming to the area.

He challenged the national government of making an impact in little time His Holiness Pope Francis visited the country.

Yakani further highlighted that roads is built in Bahr el Ghazel leading to Wau at the time of President Salva Kiir’s mission to the area.

He argues that permanent development plans should be in place in the States whether President is coming or not.

Yakani encourages the state’s rulers to make development a priority so that citizens joy the fruits of Independence.

The prominent activist was speaking to Voice of Hope in Wau on Monday through a telephone interview from Juba.
