Bishop Emmanuel Barnadino Lowi Napeta said leaving children uneducated increases the level of illiteracy that will affect the future of the Community and the state at large.

The Catholic church leader further said the Church does not only emphasize Christianity but also on building the lifestyle of people in society.

“Don’t leave your people ignorant, teach them and others something because once someone says something strange, it is why we are encouraging people to send children to school.

He related his teaching to the importance of education saying he couldn’t be a bishop without education.

“The church doesn’t only tell you to be a Christian, but also tells you to be someone strong, energetic, and educated, that is why we have schools everywhere, so if you have the chance try to send this child to school, let illiteracy ends with us.”

Bishop Napeta said education will ease the provision of basic services to people in the area and encourages the spirit of sharing knowledge amongst people for a good relationship.
