The bishop-elect of the Catholic Diocese of Yei, anticipates successful Episcopal ordination and installation.
Monsignor Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo during morning mass at Christ the King Cathedral on Thursday foretells successful ordination and installation through God’s will, Radio Easter reported.
He prays for God’s guidance to have a successful installation and moving the diocese forward.
Monsignor Lodiong appreciates the faithful in Yei Catholic Diocese for the warm welcome.
Pope Francis appointed Monsignor Alex Lodiong Sakor Eyobo on 11th February, 2022 to succeed Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe who served the diocese for thirty-six years.
Ordination and installation of the second Catholic Bishop of Yei is expected to take place on 8th May, 2022 in Yei.
Monsignor Lodiong is in consultation with Emeritus Bishop Erkolano Lodu on when, where and who to conduct the ordination and installation.
Bishop Lodu Tombe, who was appointed on 21st March, 1986 and ordained on 28th, November, 1986 submitted his resignation to the Vatican three years ago.
