Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral in the Catholic Diocese of Yei is calling on believers to take to the Lenten season for prayer, fasting and rendering services to one another.
Fr Joseph Arike Eugenio while preaching during the Ash Wednesday, quoted prophet Joel saying “following the commandments of God will qualify them to be His children”, Radio Easter reported.
He encouraged the congregation to always submit to God their problems in order for Him to be with them.
The catholic priest called on Christians to ask for the grace of God through faith in order to get His blessing.
He said the promise of God to the Israelites will continue to be with the Christians if they opened their hearts and asks for His grace.
The Parish Priest was preaching during the beginning of Lenten season at Christ the King Cathedral on Wednesday in Yei.
