Tonj Football Association fires 3 players, suspends two others

Tonj Local Football Association board of directors suspends 2 and permanently dismisses 3 participants, from sports activities in Tonj South County of Warrap State.

The players were dismissed due to misconduct during matches.

In a dismissal letter seen by Don Bosco Radio, Salam Base FC Assistant Coach, John Ateny and Bol Makuei Bak, were dismissed for allegedly fighting with referee.

In 2016 and 2018, they were given a warning, but committed the same offence again.

The association terminated the players from any sport activity according to articles 83 and 87.

The other blue star FC defender Bol Makuei Bak allegedly wanted to shoot a referee with a piston, after he was given a red card while he was playing in the field.

Any attempted murder or misconduct, including fighting is prohibited.

Meanwhile, Salam Base FC player, Big J Majok Malual, has been suspended for two years from sports activities and Lueth Koru Akuien for one month.

The decisions came after several fighting and attacks happened in the field in Tonj South County.

In the letter, the official warns the players and spectators against turning sports activities, in to conflict zones, when they are meant for peace purposes.
