United Nations Children’s Fund of UNICEF in partnership with OXFAM donated personal protection equipment to Wau Catholic Diocesan health facilities.
Head of UNICEF Zone office for Greater Bahr EL Ghazal Padmouathi Yedla said health workers worldwide needs protection because they are at the frontline fighting coronavirus pandemic, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Wau Catholic Health Coordinator Dr Jurel Mamur Payi appreciated UNICEF and OXFAM for the great support in protecting their health workers.
Personal protection equipment will help the frontline workers to discharge their duties without any fear from contracting any virus or any disease, he clarified.
The donation aims at protecting the frontline medical personnel at the health facilities at this time of coronavirus pandemic.
Many reports say coronavirus infected thousands of health workers worldwide.
