Western Lakes State Governor, Mahmud Solomon Deer pledged to support education of girls in the state and encourage employment of female teachers in all institutions of learning.
‘The government of Western Lakes State is committed in supporting the primary and secondary education and more importantly girl-child education as well as encouraging female teachers at all levels of learning institutions’, he said.
In his speech at the farewell party of senior four students at Abukloi high school on Saturday, Solomon hailed the performance of private schools.
He discouraged students from wasting their time in traditional dances, but give full attention to their books.
The governor advised them to prepare well for the national exams and to continue interacting with academic notes to learn and change mindset of the people from bad to good.
Mahmud called on parents to provide necessary needs for their candidates to enable them succeed and raise the name of state.
The governor was delivering his speech at Abukloi Secondary School on Saturday.
