The new commissioner of Manyang–Ngok in Tonj State John Garang Ater while touring Wanhalel South Payam on Monday told people to voluntarily hand over their guns to soldiers.

He warned that the government will take measures against those refusing to give their guns to authorities.

The commissioner appeals to people whose properties were looted to identify them that he to get them back.

‘I just came to inform my communities that let them give guns to soldiers without any resistance. Otherwise, if anybody attempts to refuse to surrender his or her gun, it will be him and the forces that are collecting guns.  Guns are very risky to our people’, Garang appeals.

Garang urged communities of Wahnalel to cooperate with the government to stay in peace, unity and open all their ways for free movement of people in counties of Tonj State.

The commissioner made remarks to Don Bosco Radio on Monday in Tonj
