Bishop of Episcopal Church of South Sudan Wulu Diocese Zachariah Mangar Apeti urges the believers to think and weight their faith to help Jesus in carrying His cross.
He advises the believers to have hearts of forgiveness as Jesus Christ had forgiven people who crucified him, Good News Radio reports.
Bishop Mangar was advising the congregation during the church services in Eastern Bahr El Ghazal internal province main cathedral.
‘If all of us take forgiveness as our main priority, then you are carrying the cross of Jesus Christ. It is not just forgiveness, but the one that Jesus told us. It is so painful, but he tried to show us that there is forgiveness. If we bear the painful things and forgive, then you’re carrying the cross of Jesus Christ and we’re following you’ said the Bishop.
The ECSS prelate encourages Christians to have strong faith despite difficult situations they are going through.
He says Jesus had faith of remembering His mother, forgetting the pain he was experiencing on the cross and asked His mother to love her son and the son to love his mother.
Bishop Mangar was preaching at St Barnaba Cathedral on Sunday in Rumbek.
